Abortion and Euthanasia

I suppose this podcast (episode 5) should really have been entitled "the theology of life".

For the first time we had real difficulty in getting a guest to speak on either subject - it is so emotive and so polarizing that folk just didn't want to commit to one view or another.

Roderick and I are not so bashful and in this podcast we discuss in some depth how abortion and euthanasia have spiritual echoes.

Its also one of these issues where I can bet we will get a bunch of opinion via email (theologybits@me.com) or even here on the blog.

Enjoy the chat, we came to the conclusion that the metaphysical is affected by the physical realm in the same fashion as the methaphysical affects the physical.

You'll find no judgement in this podcast only compassion and understanding and - as ever - theology bits!

Prayer - oh yes...

Well this week on the show we had a great time chatting with Sister Margaret McHard. Off mike she treated us to stories of life in her order and life as a trainee nun.

It was fascinating stuff and her insights during the show itself seemed to me profound.

I had expected that our conversation would have looked at prayer form and content - lots of latin masses and what have you.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
We explored ideas of relationship, receiving wisdom, communing with god.

What are others experience and ideas on prayer? We look fwd to hearing from you on theology bits blog.
